Orlando, Fl – Renowned daredevil Nik Wallenda‘s ride on the Orlando Eye observation wheel wasn’t that of a typical passenger. The following interactive VR/360 video experience shows Wallenda as he walks his way to the top of the wheel (with custom shoes being his only safety measure) and sets a world record as the first person to do so:
With the historic walk debuting live on Wednesday’s edition of the TODAY Show, the world watched as Wallenda scaled the moving wheel and safely made his journey downward. While the majority of us are unlikely to ever try such as stunt, thanks to VR technology we can experience Wallenda’s feat from a 1st person perspective.
The 360Heros team was thrilled to be on hand to capture this first person perspective and to allow viewers to (safely) experience what it’s like to walk atop a 400 ft. landmark. This interactive 360 video was captured with the H3Pro7, a seven camera model, which the 360Heros and A Production House AV teams used to film the walk with a full 360 x 180 degree field of view.
We’d like to congratulate Nik Wallenda on another daring accomplishment and express our pleasure in helping to deliver it to fans with an immersive perspective!
